ICAO DOC 10206 – Manual on Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Training
This manual provides training guidelines for aircraft accident and incident investigators. It discusses the experience and employment background required for training as an aircraft accident and incident investigator, and outlines the progressive training considered necessary to qualify a person for the various investigation roles, including appointment as the investigator-in-charge of an investigation into a major accident involving a large transport category aircraft. It also includes an adapted competency-based training model to define the competencies of aircraft accident and incident investigators. This manual is an update to the guidelines contained in Circular 298 – Training Guidelines for Aircraft Accident Investigators and supersedes it in its entirety.
